# captions.js has a new home: captionsjs.dev

> Docs, changelog and this blog now live on one site. Old GitHub Pages links redirect here.

captions.js used to live on GitHub Pages at `maskin25.github.io/captions.js`: a demo page,
a separate VitePress docs site and a preset gallery. From today everything is on one domain,
**captionsjs.dev**.

## What is where

- **[Docs](/docs)**: the guide, the server and Docker render service, and the full
  [API reference](/docs/api), generated from the library's TypeScript sources on every deploy.
- **[Changelog](/changelog)**: every release of `captions.js` and `@captionsjs/server`,
  built straight from `CHANGELOG.md` in the repository. There is an [RSS feed](https://captionsjs.dev/changelog/rss.xml) too.
- **Blog**: release notes with more context, caption style breakdowns and guides, such as
  turning Whisper word timings into animated captions.

Links to `maskin25.github.io/captions.js/...` keep working: they redirect to the matching page here.

## What's next

A new home page with a live showcase of every preset, a gallery with a page per style,
and a way to try captions.js on your own video right in the browser.

The library itself does not change: it is still MIT, still on
[npm](https://www.npmjs.com/package/captions.js) and still developed in the open on
[GitHub](https://github.com/maskin25/captions.js).
